Family Visit

Sunday after church, Ralph and I travelled to Danville to visit Judy's two aunts and a cousin. Aunt Ilene is 96, Aunt Geraldine is around 89 and Karen is around my age. My aunts are my dad's sisters. My Aunt Ilene enjoyed Ralph talk about birds and family trees. Aunt Ilene has a canary and wow could it ever sing. She said the other day she had to cover it trying to stop the singing as she could not eve hear her TV. It did not work. She loves her song bird. We enjoyed our visit with Aunt Geraldine, Uncle Richard and Karen too. If you do not have a good time around them you have a problem because they certainly keep you in stitches.

Both Aunts still live at home. Aunt Ilene's husband, George, is deceased and so she lives alone. Aunt Geraldine's husband is younger so he takes care of her. It is so sad to see them not getting around too well. Aunt Ilene still gets out in her yard, with help, and plants her garden. They both have painted beautiful pictures and I have the privilege of having some.
